Former Detroit Edison Power Station

As prime demolition contractor, Sitetech coordinated decommissioning and demolition of the DTE’s former Marysville Power Station. Covering approximately 300,000 SF containing eight boilers and rising to 300’ high demolition, methods included mechanical take down of auxiliary buildings and the use of explosives to fell the massive Boiler House. Work includes preservation of intake/discharge culverts under the Turbine House, removal of foundations and restoration in preparation for redevelopment.
